Solar radiation
This block computes the solar radiation available to any
sun-exposed surface on the basis of the position of the sun in the
sky and the relative angle at which the exposed surface faces the
sun. Also used are the color of the exposed surface (absorption
coefficient).
The model is fairly complex. It calculates not only the direct
radiation from the sun, but also the diffuse radiation received
through the atmosphere.
