Test case for Flow1D2ph
The model is designed to test the component Flow1D2ph
when used as a condenser.
This model represent the fluid side of a condenser with an applied
external heat flow. The operating fluid is water.
During the simulation, the inlet specific enthalpy and heat flux
are changed, while maintaining the inlet flowrate constant:
- t=0 s. The initial state of the water is superheated
vapour.
- t=10 s. Ramp increase of the heat flow extracted from the
component. The steam condenses, causing a reduction of pressure and
a flow rate transient decrease. At the end of the transient the
outlet fluid is in subcooled liquid state.
- t=300 s. Step increase of the inlet enthalpy
- t=400 s. The heat flow is brought back to zero. The fluids
evaporates, causing an increase of pressure and a surge of flow
rate at the outlet..
Simulation Interval = [0...600] sec
Integration Algorithm = DASSL
Algorithm Tolerance = 1e-9
